The Botanic Gardens Community Charity Registered Group, are proud to present a 1940s Day in the beautiful Botanic Gardens !
The small group was formed 8yrs ago & they have dedicated their time in re-juvenating the once overgrown park, into a thriving very large garden for local residents & visitors alike, full of flowers, trees, garden centre, a busy cafe & regular music events.
The group, are one of just three, RHS Gold Medallist Winners, in the North West. The Victorian Gardens hold much history, the cafe was once the Schoolhouse for Churchtown, during WW1 & 2. The 1940s day will start at 10am, ending at 5pm, Vintage Vehicles, Stalls, local contributions,
plus 'The Amazing George Formby Experience', 'The Ultimate 1940s Swing & Big Band Singer Lilli De Carlo' & jolly spiffing '40s music from Vintage D.J 'Bazooka Joe'. Licensed Bar & Cafe onsite. Roadside parking around the Gardens & local nearby streets. Local bus stops outside the main gate entrance. No 59. The Event Organiser is Sandra Cain
